Or do you mean data (XML) files? When you say you need to keep the data in synch, what does that mean?

You may want to use a content type, and try to add logic to your form so it will submit to the correct library - that way you only have one template to manage.

how to create multiple form instances from an infopath 2010 form (Parent/Child) - Sync

I designed an infopath template with infopath 2010 designer. My delima is the following:

How do I go about creating multiple form instances from an infopath form and keep them in sync.

Example. I published the infoPath template to a SP 2010 library form. Creating an instance from this library would be the parent form and it would also be hosted in the same location. However, I then need other users to create their own instance from the parent document and sync them if any data from the parent has changed. The child instances will be hosted in diffrent library.

Questions: I can create the main form (Parent). But how do I go about spunning many other child forms and update the child forms if the parent has changed?

Can this be done without any code and using rules and formulas ?

I am new to InfoPath form development. I would appreciate any feedback.
