Your form will have to be full trust though.

We hope to release qRules v3.4 next month. If you'd like to install the beta, please send email to Support at Qdabra dot com.

Thanks!

Custom Save Button

Hi All,

Well, I usually prefer to lurk as questions have generally already been answered. Seems not this time, although they've been answered but I don't understand them.

I have an InfoPath 2010 Filler Form where I would like to hide the ribbon, so I need a Custom Save button at the end of the form.

The scenario is a mobile worker will complete the form whilst disconnected from the network, usually they will not be able to complete all fields as attachments will need to be added and fields updated after they have returned to the office.

1. I need to add a button for them to save as a local draft, lets say c:\forms.

2. I'll add an additional button for them to submit to the SharePoint Library when they have returned to the office and completed other fields.

Now, I've tried to add rules to the Save as Draft button, but rules don't have any option for the form to be saved locally, only to data connections, SharePoint and Hosted etc. I've also tried a number of pieces of code (mainly using XDocument.Save():), none of which have worked.

I'm not a coder so have absolutely no idea what to do with code or where to put it. I can open the code editor of course.

Would someone be kind enough to:

1. Let me know if it can be done with rules?

2. If not with rules a newbie copy and paste instruction with the code required?

Thanks all in advance, this has been bugging me for a week and I think Google has got bored with me.
