So right click the highest group in your form's data source, and you shoudl be able to add.

Can InfoPath have blank texts fields and database query fields in the same Form?

I am trying to create a form in InfoPath 2007 that pulls some of the data from a SQL database, but allows the user to fill out other controls with data not present in the database. I have used a main data connection and the default query that it creates to be able to pull what I need out of the database, but now I cannot find a way to create new controls that are not bound to a field in the main data connection. Is there something I am missing that will allow this?

If that is not possible is there some way to set up a form with a data query with the same functionality of the default main data connection query while using my database as a secondary data connection?

I am trying to keep this document fairly simple, with just a direct connection between the form and database, and it will be used only to display/print data, not to submit it. Any thoughts or advice on if InfoPath can do what I am trying without having to create custom code of some sort are greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

J

P.S. Sorry about what is probably a duplicate question, I thought I had seen the answer to this question somewhere on the forum, but today now that I need it I cannot find it again.
