I can open the induvidual files in excel using the method you described but as I have many files I would really like some sort of automated way of combining them. So instead of having form1, form2 ,.... form250 just having form_everything_combined.

Is there a way? maybe a different xml editor?

Regards

What about just opening the XML with Excel? That is, open Excel & navigate to your XML, and open your XML file from there....

Newbe, Export to Excel

Hi everybody

First of all thank you for taking the time for reading my post.

I'm using office 2007

Currently I'm working on a survey in a company. This survey has a large number of questions (more then 400)

When I export to excel form outlook it fails because infopath creates a new excel sheet in competibility mode which can only handle 255 columns. I cant change this setting as far as I know. I tried changing the default save as setting in excel but that doesn't work because of some setting made by IT.

Is there a way to force infopath to create a office 2007 excel sheet instead of using the default setting? Or is there a other how I can export the forms? I have to process over a 100 forms and this survey has to be repeated many times so automation is key.

Regards Olivier
