We use SQL here and not Access. But for both, to do a parameterized query requires code. That's why we developed our DBXL Web service back in 2004 - to help people integrate their forms with SharePoint and SQL. Free trial and it's cheap.

But, you could also write the code yourself and give it the correct permissions (full trust required in some cases). Another idea would be to move the Access data to SharePoint and use Owssvr or BCS to pull it down.

Let me know if you want a quick demo. This is like 5 minutes to show how to do with our DBXL web service.

Linking Access 2010 db to InfoPath

Hi! I'm totally new to InfoPath and could use a lot of help. Here at work my boss wants to switch out from an old forms program that we use to InfoPath. We've created a few simple forms and so far they work pretty good. I am now trying to create a form in which the other employees here will input 4 digit codes in a text box and another space right next to it will bring up whatever information is relevant to the code, pretty much like a query in Access. The 4 digit codes that we have are already in a separate database. Your help is greatly appreciated!
