The problem is in username() function. In infopath filler, it returns the username you have logged on - in Sharepoint , in upper case (always?).
So, if you log on as domain/username or domain/USERNAME, infopath filler would show respectively username or USERNAME.
Thanks

Re: Which the order of precedence on form load (filler and sharepoint)

Thanks Hilary,
It's a brand new form, with only these 3 controls and a secondary data source, in Ip 2010. Nothing fancy or rules or nothing - plain form.I should have said "show the default values" instead of "filled". These are the default values. Isn't it odd that the Filler and Sharepoint show different values?

Re: Which the order of precedence on form load (filler and sharepoint)

I think you are saying that when you view the form in the browser, one control doesn't display the default value? Is this a default value? Does it depend on a secondary data source? Are the post back settings the same on all the controls?

For IP 2003, the order of processing on startup is user roles, open rules, OnLoad handler, OnSwitchView event handler (per Developing Solutions with Microsoft Infopath, pg 322). I'm not sure if this has changed in newer versions of IP or in browser forms, however.

I have a pequliar issue: I have a form with 3 controls: controlA=username(),controlB=@EMPL_SURNAME[contains(@EMPL_EMAIL; ControlA)], which loads the values from a data connection and a controlC=@EMPL_SURNAME[contains(@EMPL_EMAIL; 'AStaticValue')] - i.e. the same with controB, but with static string
in Infopath filler, all 3 controls are being filled. In SharePoint, only controlA and controlC are filled. I presume that the ControlB doesn't get filled because it "fires up" before ControlA.
Is that a correct assumption?
What is a feasible solution?
And the last question:What is the precedence-priority on Form load? (oyf!)

Thank you
