I believe you have to create a content type to publish to two different lSharePoint locations otherwise you can only publish to one location. I am not an expert but is your form being published as a content type to SharePoint?

Re: Infopath Will Not Publish - Receive Error

Thanks, the error message was simply:

"Infopath cannot modify the form library because the file does not exist. Copy the template to the form library or create a new form library."

That was from InfoPath when I tried to publish to the SharePoint site. I was able to previously publish, but to another site. However I also received that message when I created a brand new form and tried to publish to the same location. What I have found since posting the initial question is that I can publish the form to the site collection, but not to the subsite that I want to direct it to. I have also noticed that there was a default Form Template library in existence at the site collection level, but not at the site level. I don't know if that is related, just an observation. I always try to see what's different when something doesn't work as expected, and that's all I have right now.

Re: Infopath Will Not Publish - Receive Error

What is the exact error message you recieve?

I encountered a problem with not being able to publish an InfoPath 2007 form to MOSS 2007 document library as a content type (installed on 64 bit Server 2008) AFTER we migrated our SharePoint installation to a new server. The root problem was the server cache registry key was corrupt so we removed the registry key. Obviously this is a drastic move and should only be attempted if you know what you are doing. We saved the cache first before removing it (just in case).

The file path to the registry key for us is: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Common\Internet\Server Cache. In the cache locate the site/library/whatever that you're trying to publish to, save it to another location, then delete it from registry, then try publishing the form to SharePoint again to let it recreate a new key.

The error message I received was "URL is invalid" - This may not be the same issue for you but I thought I'd throw it out there.

Good Luck.

Infopath cannot modify the form library because the file does not exist. Copy the template to the form library or create a new form library.

I get this message whether I create the form library first, or tell it to create a new one. I also get that message if I try to publish a new form (thinking it might be a problem because it was previously published).

We've made so many changes since we were able to publish that I have no clue where to even start, and can't find much reference to that error message anywhere. Nothing in the event log either..
