We do sell a tool for Excel to InfoPath conversion that you may find useful, however, if you have a process that is currently in Excel that you are trying to move to InfoPath.

Re: Form based on two tables

Thank you. That will be very helpful to get me started. To add a bit of effectiveness for my users,

if we have one project name to input into the form, and then I need add more than one vendor numbers, is there any way I can copy vendor numbers from Excel, and paste into the control on the form.

It would be nice to be able to utilize this behavior for the one vendor number control.

Re: Form based on two tables

Hi, Kelli --

Welcome to the forum.

Will your form be creating projects as well as submitting vendors? Or will it just be for submitting the vendors to already existing projects? Can you give more info on what you mean by inputing the vendors in the most efficient manner? Do you mean in terms of actually filling out your form? Or the tables used for your form? Or something else entirely?

You can create a form based off two tables -- first select the parent table (yours is probably your project table) then adding a table in the data connection wizard to add the child (vendor) table.

Here's one link with some info that may be helpful. Here's another with some screenshots that shows setting up a relationship between your tables. I hope that helps, but if I misunderstood, please post back with more details...

Form based on two tables

Hello, I am new to InfoPath and to this forum and am in desparate need of help.

I am developing a form based upon two Access 2007 tables, using one field from one table, the Primary Key field named Project Name and one field from the other table named VendorNum. For a given Project Name, we might need to input 15 or more VendorNum values. I am at a loss to figure out how to input those vendors in a most efficient manner. Any suggestions will be most appreciated. I was possibly hoping to create a form with subform, but cant get that to work. I must be missing the obvious.

Thank you very much
