Greg Collins posted a detailed step in his blog about cascading dropdowns (http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/greg/archive/2005/07/14/Create-a-Repeating-Cascading-List-from-a-Flat-Data-Source.aspx). I'm pretty sure you have already set up the external db data connection, you just have to replace the steps to select this as your data source. The blog explains how you can filter and use the "current()" formula in your DDLs.

Hope this will help.

Thanks,

Cascading drop down list boxes infopath 2007

I am trying to create a cascading drop down list box. I have two drop downs in the query fields and I am trying to get the second to relate to data in the first. I have read through the info on this site and it all refers to several list boxes instead of just two and .xml datasets instead of connecting to external db also not for the query side only in the main form.

Can you point me to a walk through for designing the DDL's using the ID fields instead of named fields on external access db?

Thanks in advance
