I am all new to Infopath, and wanted to aks if what I want to do is at all possible to do in Infopath, before spending a ton of time trying to get it to work :-)

I want to generate a form, that automatically gets data from some excel sheets... To make it simple.

-----------------------------------------------------------

The Infopath form should consist of 3 drop down lists.

One list should be a list of rooms (lets call these room A, B, C, D and E)

The second list should be formated in a way to only show the items in the room the user has selected (exampel: in room A there is a dinnertable and 2 chairs, room B is empty), I was here thinking that Infopath could get the information about the inventory of each room, from different excel sheets (exampel excel sheet "roomA.xls" containing the before mentioned items, and "roomB.xls" being empty).

The last list should be the same rooms as in the first list....

------------------------------------------------------------

Purpose of the whole thing... By selecting "room A" in the first list, then selecting "dinnertable" in the second list, and finally selecting "room B" in the last list (and of course hitting the SUBMIT button... I want to be able to move the "dinnertable" from one excel sheet to the other.

Any one who has any good ideas, as to how I can do this... Much appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks!
