I have what I imagine is a fairly common problem that I hope someone can help me with.

I am new to infopath and have just created my first form. The form needs to be able to query some information from an access database to make it easier to fill in (ie if you put in an employee number it brings back information on that employee). I've managed to set that up without much difficulty.

However my problem comes from if I am querying a database I've realised that I can't actually submit the form data to another one. I'm not too concerned about holding form data in a database however I do really need to be able to create a log of what forms have been created and at what stage the approval process is at.

Is there any simple way around this problem? I'm hoping it doesn't invovle creating manual SQL statements.

Cheers
