The only twist is my repeating tables are in repeating sections. It works until I add a section, and then it starts to duplicate fields below. So repeating table group1/group2 is in a repeating section called group3/group4. "my:fields/my:plangroup/my:group3/my:group4/my:group1/my:group2:" I think I need another preceeding-sibling rule to hide the row if the row is in the previous table in the previous section. I was hoping maybe you could help.

Also this is to be used with Infopath Form Filler 2010.

Thank you in advance!!

For this scenario let's say I have a repeating table that has two columns 'Name' and 'Quantity' the name can be different or the same. In the footer of the table I need to display each of the distinctive names and the sum of those names. I was thinking of doing this by putting a second repeating table in the footer but I am unsure how I would go about adding a new row to the table for each distinctive name. I am not sure if this is even the correct approach. Any help or direction would be appreciated. The format would be something like as follows.

Name

Quantity

Gerbil

3

Dog

2

Cat

7

Cat

3

Dog

4

Dog

2

Totals

Gerbil

7

Dog

8

Cat

10
