Open your form template in design mode. Under Tools, check the submit options and find the data connection for Submit. Then, under Tools / Data Connections, find that submit data connection and look to see what the URL is.

It is confusing, but simply publishing a template to a SharePoint library does not automagically make it submit to that same library. So you have to make sure that you have a submit connection pointed to the library where you want your XML.... And if you already have a submit connection in the form that submits to SharePoint, you can look at it to find your XML files.

Hope that helps!

Posting problems [INFOPATH2003] to Sharepoint site

Virtual Friends,

For the past 3 months I have been working a project and cannot figure this one out. Here are my issues;

Infopath 2003 is the only app I can use, 2007 is not authorized just yet

I cant get the form to submit and save the XML for others to review

Too many Sharepoint features thown at me at once causes even more confusion

Basically here is the dealio; I have been tasked to build a form (which I did). Customers go to sharepoint, click the xsn.file -fill out the form- and click 'submit' so the department can receive the order. It sounds pretty simple right? Well not for me.

I am also a Sharepoint site manager, and cant seem to figure out how all of these features come into play. Here are a few examples;

Shared docs, data connection library, forms library, report library, Cora etc...etc..

Spending the past several months on the web searching for help, I found a site that helped some http://www.marclenferna.com/blog/archive/2009/01/18/how-to.-publish-your-infopath-form-to-sharepoint--a.aspx

Well, it didnt work for me for some reason, and now after publishing the form, when you click 'submit' it defaults to the 'form was submitted successfully' but nobody can find where it went to. The Boss man wants those XML forms posted and avail so he can track the requests (customers are requesting photos to be taken as a job request), and the photo-lab has to track how many requests that get, then work-flow for tracking and assigning stuff.

Sure wish I could share something out, but I am in the military and the website is secured to authenticated users.

Can someone set me straight and break it down coming from a InfoPath2003 perspective please? I do not write code so...

XSN file is published but no XML path can be figured out.

Responses appreciated.

' This file contains functions for data validation and form-level events. ' Because the functions are referenced in the form definition (.xsf) file, ' it is recommended that you do not modify the name of the function, ' or the name and number of arguments. ' The following line is created by Microsoft Office InfoPath to define the prefixes ' for all the known namespaces in the main XML data file. ' Any modification to the form files made outside of InfoPath ' will not be automatically updated. ' XDocument.DOM.setProperty "SelectionNamespaces", "xmlns:my=""http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/myXSD/2010-02-08T20:40:27""" ' '======= ' The following function handler is created by Microsoft Office InfoPath. ' Do not modify the name of the function, or the name and number of arguments. ' This function is associated with the following field or group (XPath): /dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:Video_Request/@Department ' Note: Information in this comment is not updated after the function handler is created. '======= Sub msoxd__Video_20_Request__Department_attr_OnAfterChange(eventObj) ' Write code here to restore the global state.
