We have a taskpane sample form that supports doing this using the SetContext function. Send e-mail to Mel dot Balsamo at Qdabra dot com and ask her for the sample. It's part of our InfoPath Master Training course (Module 7).

Cheers!

Provide document navigation within a document

I am trying to set up a task pane (maybe?) to allow me to provide navigation with my document.

I have a document that allows entry of business requirements and it has 13 separate sections to cover all types of information. I want to be able to allow a user to navigate their way around the document by being able to click on a "table of contents" or a section list. The click would take them to that particular section of the document and they could work there.

Then they may click to go to another section or to go back to the form top.

I tried views and that does not seem to set up properly since I do not know how to make each section addressable.

Is there a way to set up what I need?

This would be easy on a web page using
<A href="http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/AddPost.aspx?ForumID=39#link1">
<A name="link1">
however I cannot figure out how to implement this type of structure in my document.

Any ideas or samples sure would be appreciated. We use InfoPath 2003 and 2007.
