I'm not sure I understand the issue with the 'variables' -- do you mean fields and rules? I do know that after a certain number of iterations of a rule, IP will error out. Could you attach a sample form with this issue so I could maybe better understand the logic causing this in your form?

As far as the second question, I don't know of a way to override the default radio button selection in an export to Excel. You may want to handle that programmatically to prevent the user having any options.

How to change the default radio button in Export to Excel

Hi Patrick,

I have not looked into the SDK, as mentioned in earlier bloggs.
I have not looked into XML terchnologies anymore.
I kjnow there is a thing called XSLT (Stylesheet trtansforms). But, have forgotten everything about it.

Has anyone pursued that query I raised, about, the Infinite loop error, and its cause?
I found that if you have a string of variables all connected by each adding an extra bit data to another variable streing.
And this occurs for more than, I think, 8 times, the infinite loop error is raised.

What I am, trying to say is,

I have variable2 = "a string"
variable2 = variable1 + "a bit more of a string"
variable3= variable2 + "another piece of string" etc etc up to variable8.

With that system I have developed. I have pretty well finished with it.
I am trying to relearn, EXCEL VB macro, to gloss up the product in Excel, I exported from InfoPath, and before I transfer it into WORD.

But, still there is still no way to ease my pain in developing this way as such in InfoPath?

I am concerned that the user will have to perform some incorrect key strokes.

The one here I am referring to, is after selecting the "Export to MS OfficeExcel" function in the File dropdown command list.
Once you select the function, a little way in you are given the option of clicking the "all form data" radio button,
or, "only form data in the current view except tables and lists" radio button.
I only want the current viewed form option.
Also, the default is "All form data", I don't want that.

Do you know of any way to alter the default which is "All form data", to the one I want?

Thanks in advance for answering the above 2 questions?
