You can either base your form off a database or use a web service to submit to a database.

Re: Multiple users submitting 1 form to SharePoint for status report

I hope you get an answer soon. I am trying to do the exact same thing. i am a newb.

my boss is expecting this. I too manually enter all the data and spit out a final status report. i dont think the supervisors can access forms simultaneously, but it would be nice. that would solve half the battle.

the only solution i have found, however i have not fully tested or finished, is to map to excel and manual export to excel, to a separate worksheet for each supervisor, then sum all sheets to spit out the chart/report. i might as well continue to manually enter the data!

please help!!!

Multiple users submitting 1 form to SharePoint for status report

I have an Excel form that multiple users fill out daily as a status report and email to me. I gather all of the submitted forms and manuall enter the submitted data in a new Excel spreadsheet which serves as the final report of everyone's status. I obviously need to automate this process. What I would like is to have 1 central location or URL for the form and multiple users should be able to access it simultaneously and submit their status. The submitted data should show up in a status report in SharePoint. I can't seem to do this with a custom list in SharePoint because the Excel form is too complex. How can I do this with InfoPath? Any other suggestions?
