Bear in mind that using rich client forms (not browser-enabled) will require all users to have whatever version of InfoPath you're building the templates with, or at least the form will have to be saved as whatever version your users have (IP 2007 can be made compatible with 2003, but not vice versa). Browser forms require nothing from the user really, but it requires MOSS Enterprise and the knowledge of how to make browser forms work well.

The other part about embedding the form in a web page can also be done, but that's more difficult. If you want to do that within SharePoint, then you can use the XMLFormView web part on a web part page. If you want to do it on some other website, then you'll have to be able to write an ASP.NET page that can embed it, but I don't know how to do that.

Anyway to create a form that can be directly linked to? There are thousands of people here and I am trying to make the process of submitting a form as simple as possible.

I just started learning about sharepoint a few days ago so I really don't know much of anything. I was told if I created a form using infopath that the user would have to click a link from our webpage that would take them to the sharepoint site, then click on New, then one other thing from the dropdown box (forgot what it was) to get to the form.

I 'd like to make it so when the link is clicked from our webpage it goes directly to the form, which would have a submit button that will forward the form to the appropiate location. Is this possible? Or better yet, is it possible to make it so that the infopath form is actually embedded on our webpage so it doesn't even take them to sharepoint but the form still goes there once submitted?
