That is some good information there. I'll definitely take a more in-depth look at it tomorrow at work

warrtalon:

that makes sense now that you explain what was happening, but what is the overall situation? I thought the problem was that your view was not showing all data, and that the form was relying on a function that requires seeing all data. Are you still only seeing 12 items in the form?

The overall situation is that previously, the form was trying to find increment a new number based on the maximum current form. The specific implementation here is that the form goes into a pending folder until it has been processed and then it gets marked as completed. The default view previously only showed pending forms. The issue today was that apparently the most recent form had been processed before another and so when a new one was created, it overwrote what was the most recent form which had been completed. Fortunately, with versioning I was able to recover all data and no problems resulted, other than discovering this issue.

Thanks again for all of the help.

Re: InfoPath Data retrieving from Sharepoint

that makes sense now that you explain what was happening, but what is the overall situation? I thought the problem was that your view was not showing all data, and that the form was relying on a function that requires seeing all data. Are you still only seeing 12 items in the form?

The form does a calculation based on the highest numbered ID of submitted form, and so once the highest form is no longer on the view, it then overwrites other files.

I have gotten it working for now by changing the default view to one that shows all forms, and not just the pending one's. I'd like to get the overall situation fixed though.

Thank you very much for your reply.

Re: InfoPath Data retrieving from Sharepoint

So it was working, pulling back all data, and then it stopped? But the library is set to display 1000? Try adding a new data connection to the same library as a test, or in a new form, again to test.

InfoPath Data retrieving from Sharepoint

I'm trying to pull data into an InfoPath form. It was working fine, but then I ran into the issue where InfoPath doesn't retrieve all data points. (http://www.devexpertise.com/2009/02/05/why-isnt-infopath-retrieving-all-sharepoint-list-items/) Any suggestions? I have all views set to show 1000 items, yet it still only is giving me 12, and some calculations that I have running based on that are broken.

Thanks in advance.
