Have you tried using a picture control in the form and just asking the user to manually attach the image? That's probably easiest to solve your first issue. You can do it programmatically but that will require some coding (as you know). We can provide consulting support for you if you are set on that route. But, may be just as easy to put some guidance text on your form telling the user to click the picture control and add the picture from the c:\\ location. Should be easy money there! :)

For yoru second issue. Adding an e-mail connection is a piece of Lemon Meringue cake. It's delicious. Just go Tools->Data Connections and add. Walk through the wizard and you are a happy man. For #2, I recommend just having the user export as MHT (included out-of-the-box, go to File->Export as MHT) or install the PDF exporter from Microsoft and then that will show up. Alternately you can use CutePDF and just have them print to that CutePDF printer.

Nice job on the concat!

Have fun with InfoPath!

Newbie Needing Help with Pictures and Exports

Hi,

Of course I am a newbie. My script skills are weak, so I am at your mercy. I am working on a solution for our technicians to have forms signed by our customers. I am using a Topaz signature capture device (via USB). Topaz has kindly offered a .js sample. It has 2 buttons and a picture control. The first button activates the signature pad. The second button saves the signature as C:\\SigImage.JPG then links the picture to the form. Here is my 1st issue. I need the pictre to be included in the form not saved "as a link".

Secondly I would like to have a button that #1 submits the form via an email connection, #2 exports to a pdf or mht format. I already have a field that concatenates to create a unique filename.

I really do appreciate any help you can give.

Thanks,

Tracy
