Yes, you can just make the File element blank (in the data connection wizard for email) and it will not send an attachment. You can then send a link to the XML so that users can open it from a central server. Or, no link, if you are just sending the XML view to the email recipients.

There is no easy way to add attachments. I recommend adding links to email and having the attachment links be determined based on your decision tree.

A very small amount of code may be needed to add the attachments. Qdabra can write that for you next week if you purchase a Support Incident. See Qdabra.com: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/Support.aspx

Cheers!

I currently have a decision tree program that depending on the combination of answers the customer gives, a document shows up on the form for them to download. What I want to happen is to have a dialog box pop up that will tell them the name of the document and that an email will be sent to them with the document. My 2 questions are:

1) Is there a way to remove the Infopath form from the email? I don't want it as an attachment or in the email.

2) Is there a way to attach additional attachments to the email that is sent out?

I am pretty raw on coding (Did a little VB about 3 years ago) but I know this will take some. Any help would be great! Thanks!
