If I were to pass anything out of infopath into another entity I would use a web service-that's what they are there for...i think. You can set up the web service to receive variables as parameters and configure your form to call the function- I am still figuring out the details of calling the web-service programmatically but limited functionality in infopath can be achieved without writing code, I hope I answered your question, I'm guessing you've moved on though

pass infopath variables to an .asp webpage

Been lurking on this forum for awhile and its really a great resource! I'm fairly new at infopath, but I think I'm catching on quickly. That said, I have an infopath document (2007) that gets exported as a PDF and saved to a location on the network. This PDF document needs to then be put into my companies document repository system. I have a webpage that will upload the document via a simple intranet form (basic <form method="post">...</form> style HTML) where the user tells the webpage where the document is on the network and clicks a button that submits the form to an .asp page that processes it and places in the document repository. Since I'm using infopath to generate the pdf document and save it to a known location with a known file name (based in fields in infopath) is there a way for me to replicate the HTML <form> submit programmatically with a button click in infopath? I've searched for a way to make this work using a data connection and I haven't found anything that talks about just passing a few variables to a .asp page vs. the entire infopath form. Anyone have any help on this one? Thanks in advance. Johnny
