I'm hoping someone here can help with this issue. I've tried a brief search of the site but couldn't find anything.

Firstly, we're running MOSS with Infopath Form Services - and my question relates specifically to the web forms.

I'm creating a basic form with an approver. Generally, the approver will be the line manager of the person filling out the form - which all works out fine as it pulls the info directly out of Sharepoint using the web services. The person filling out the form can, however, choose another approver by typing in their name.

My problem comes in when there is more than one Active Directory account with that name. (For example, search on Joe Soap, and you get 3 accounts: Joe's normal account, his admin account and his test account, or the alternative of 2 people with the same first and last names)

If we were using the thick client, I could filter out the test and admin accounts, as they all start with either domain\a_ or domain\t_ whereas normal user accounts start with domain\u. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to get this to work?

I was thinknig along the lines of trying to select the last item that is brought back (a_ and t_ accounts always come before the 'u' accounts), however I have no idea how to accomplish this.

another option might be to have another view that displays the various accounts and they can choose 1, but I'm not too sure how to go about that either.

Any help would be appreciated.
