Here is one I found. I think you would just need to research the ones you mention and see if they have a print driver or "print to fax" method such as this.

InfoPath documents cannot be printed since the document is just the XML. The template is what has how to render it and make it look like a document. So you have to convert it to a print view.

Good Luck. let us know what you accomplish.

Re: Infopath and Internet Fax Capabilities

Is there a specific fax virtual printer that you would recommend?

Because, the form I made has fields containing certain email addresses and fax numbers. I liked the fact that I could send an email to 'fax number'@myfax.com and it would fax the form there. The problem, again, is that it does not appear legible enough when the fax comes in.

Frustrating!

Would using a fax virtual printer allow me to send this through the internet, without phone line, and still pull information from the form, i.e. email addresses and fax numbers, so that it is automated??

Re: Infopath and Internet Fax Capabilities

This can be done but it is difficult and takes a lot of setup.

I would look at a print to fax virtual printer. You would just need to add the phone number, or there may be a way to pass the information, but that gets it into a printable format the easiest and with the least amount of hassle.

Infopath and Internet Fax Capabilities

I've developed a form which, when I push the button, I want to be able to send via email to my internet faxing site to "fax" or electronically

fax to different recipients. (I've checked various internet fax sites, including myfax.com, efax.com, ringcentral.com, etc... These sites allow the attachment to the email
be sent to their server which then transmits to the fax number provided in the "To:" field.)

However, none of these online fax systems have infopath as supported software. So, either it comes out with some strange characters imbedded in it or it does not come out on the fax end at all.

I was thinking that I could "print" the "viewprint" page and make it into a .pdf file (through acrobat pro, etc...) but I wanted it to be automated

so that the Microsoft Outlook would "pull" the fax # and recipient name fields from the form in to the recipient email box so that I wouldn't have to

1. Print to PDF; 2. Save file; 3. Open outlook; 4. Attach file; 5. Re-type person's fax # into the email address to e-fax.

Is this possible to do or am I just undergoing a moment of wishful thinking?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
