Let me explain my issue in detail.

My form has a repeating table with 4 columns , column1 has textbox value , column2 has dropdownlist , column3 and column4 has datepicker control

Dropdownlist is loaded from sharepoint library list(secondary data source)

(note: data filter doesnot work in browser enable form)

When user enters data using repeating table

first row

1. Name1 2. dropdownvalue1 3 .1/1/2008 4. 1/1/2008

second row

2. Name1 2. dropdownvalue1 3 .1/1/2

I should get a error message stating dat textbox value has repeating value or dropdownlist has repeating value and user should not be allowed to save the form.My form is browser enabled one I need this to be solved without any code.009 4. 1/1/2009

You have to add one more same expression using ‘following-sibling' as Swathi mentioned above.

Hi,

You need to add a filter in the drop down list.

1. Go to drop down list properties.

2. The values are coming from external source.

3. Click on the button beside Entries box.

4. Select the field from which the values are coming.

5. Click Filter data. And click add.

6. Select ‘The expression' in the first drop down and Write the following expression.

not(<nodename of the field from secondary source> = current()/preceding-sibling::<main data source repeatingnode name>/<drop down node name>)

If you give your data source (main and secondary) structure then I may give the exact expression.

My query is i have got repeating table with dropdownlist control.I populate the control from a sharepoint list. I need to ensure that the dropdown list controls in the repeating table doesnot hold duplicate value. (i.e) My dropdown list has values say A,B and C if first row dropdown list controls has the value "A" then second row dropdown list should not have the value "A" How to do this ??? Help Me Thanks Yogaraj
