Blank value will displayed bydefault if we use external data in the dropdown field.

Thanks now i made it like isblank. Could you please tell me why that empty value is coming?

Hi,

We cannot remove empty value from Dropdown fields. If you want you can set default value when you open the form. But if you can able to select the empty value.

Do you want to display any sections when event type is blank?

If you want hide any section when dropdown value is blank, then add condition for section as , dropddownvalue isbllank, then hide this control.

Hi,

I am using a XML file to populate the dropdown control in Infopath. The problem is, an empty value is appended in the top of the list .As I am using a rule ,based on the selection few sections should hide.So whenever I select this empty item in the dropdown list that rule is not working.I tried with isblank,isequalto etc... but nothing is working.

Please help me
