1. I was not aware, originally, that a print view was a screen that was modifiable.
It makes sense in the infopath structure..

2. A thought I had to add a control to an Expression box.
As the expression box seemed to ask for a control FIRST.
It wasn't until I tested one out that I realised that what you add was optional.
You could add a control, hard coded text,
or both, with the control first, I think, haven't tested that one yet!

I consider problem solved

thank you

Re: Can we add drop down boxes to optional field part

Hello,

We do not have option to selected values to be print in InfoPath. For this you have to prepare another view which fields data you want to print.

Check out this link,

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/infopath/HA101514381033.aspx

Can we add drop down boxes to optional field part

If I have a list of many lines (say full 80 character lines) I want to print.
And not all of the lines I want to print ( and hopefully, blank lines are not replacing where these lines are)
And some printing lines have fields in them.
And the fields have say a drop down box to alter the value.

Would that work.

If so how could it work?

I am looking at choice sections and choice groups, both are related.

I cannot seem to get the group n sections working with ungrouped data records.

My thought is that I use chioce sections for the lines.
