If you are filling field, and it is of a datetime data type, there should be a format button under the text box properties that you can set to not display the date but to display the time. If what you want is a text value of just the time, you can use substring-after to get everything after 'T' in now. There is a sample here that shows how to use substring-before and -after to get date and time parts.

Time control

Hey everyone, I am writing a form in which once the user selects a check box it populates the current time in another field and greys out totally once save or submit is pressed, thing is I cannot get it to just display the time once it is checked, everything I try gets date & time using the "now()" value also want to lock the check box once it has been checked. any info would be appreciated.
