Whenever we are adding the condition using secondary dom nodes then it will not check for default values for some times. For this better to use main dom node value gives us exact values. One more way to use copy the complete expression and use like below,

boolean("<Expression of your condition>")

Re: Conditional formatting "not equal to" does not work

Also it is a little bit confusing that it works when I say data=employee cause that matches the ones I want to show. But not when I say data"doe not equal"employee -- because that matches all

I have tried a lot of current() versions but no luck and also if this is path problem then why does the = work?

Re: Conditional formatting "not equal to" does not work

Hi Ravi

The secondary data source is a xml file with a list of names

The drop down list box is in an repeating table inside an repeating section.

The repeating section is :

Job ( repeating sections)

info on job

Personel on the job: ( repeating table )

Names

Then in another view I set it up like so to list jobs each person has worked on:

Node from secondary data source: ( repeating section )

data: ( text field with names )

Job ( repeating table bound to the section in View 1 )

equpment: Work,id,nr: hrs

I have filtered it so that only the jobs that belong to each person are listed under his/her name but now I want to hide all the other names using conditional formatting and that is when I get into trouble.

Re: Conditional formatting "not equal to" does not work

Hi,

Is your text field in the secondary data source have multiple values or is in repeating section/table?

If the field is having multiple values then if one of the value is not equal to the value you select in drop down, then the condition becomes true and the section hides.

If the multiple values is your problem, actually what is the position of the text value you want to compare?

Conditional formatting "not equal to" does not work

I am using an conditional fromat on a repeating section to hide it if a text value in an secondary data source does not match the value selected in an drop down list box in that same section in an different view.

It does not work for some reason

If I use = data "equals" drop down list box and use coloration to verify then that works porperly but as soon as I invert it to "Not equal to" then the condition seems to apply to every case.

is this an known bug and is there a way around this?

thanks
