I was able to do this, but it only works within InfoPath on my local machine. As soon as I publish the form out to SharePoint and then try to open the a new document in a Form Library list the pre-population does not work. So i am thinking of pulling user information from SharePoint itself. Anyone have any ideas or examples.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>** Also in a previous post I asked once I create some code behind in the load event, it appears that you need to copy the entire c# project over to the server in order for the code behind code to work in infopath. Is this really true? from what I read and tired it seems that you have to do that. It just seems strange.
