On first open, this view is shown with the text you need and two buttons. One switches to the main view and the other closes the form or whatever.

Prompt Upon Opening to Allow User to Confirm They're Intended User (non-Active Directory app)

I am creating a form intended for use by persons not on my computer network. I want to email them a published form, have them enter data, and send a completed InfoPath file back to me via email.

As a basic measure to prevent erroneous access to the form (by persons who come into contact with it, but for whom the form was not intended), I would like a prompt appear when a person opens the file that allows the user to select “yes” or “no” as to whether they are a member of the group of people for which the form was intended. If “yes” is selected, the form opens. If “no” is selected, the form closes.

I have figured out how to show messages upon opening the form using “Show dialogue box” action under rules in Form Options àOpen & SaveàOpen Behavior, but it doesn’t seem to allow for making a selection in the prompt which then triggers the appropriate next step.

Since the intended users of the form are not on my computer network, leveraging Active Directory is not an option.

How do I get a prompt to appear before the form opens?
