So the data validation rules on the checkboxes seem to be persisting today.

Here's an example of how I set mine up:

Rule name: notSelected
condition: intChkBoxTotal = 0
msg: Please select business process(s) impacted

Perhaps the issue was a fluke or DE.

I am developing an InfoPath 2010 form for deployment on a MOSS 2007 server. So basically I know that limits me to using the InfoPath 2007 format and features. :(

My client would like to have a drop-down with multi-select capabilities, there are 24 checkboxes. Since the multi-select ddl is not available in InfoPath 2007, I thought I could just make a bunch of check boxes in a group, and a text field for the 'Other' and apply validation rule to the group that at least 1 option must be checked, but no... that would be way too easy/logical, b/c you can't apply rules to groups.

I found this reference to help me do this, however, it seems a little outdated, and I cannot get it to work. It seems that everytime I run the form, all the rules I've applied to the checkboxes disappear, so there is no data validation. Does anyone have any suggestions/advice? Has anyone else found their rules disappearing?

Can you please help me on how to do the same validation with the True/False. I cannot use 0 and 1 as i have some restricitions on the code. I would like to implement the same validation.

I reverse the condition to grater than

but give me aleart when I choose the two chek boxes

but I choose nothing it does not give me aleart

I need to force the user to choose only one, and he must select one

That's correct that you don't use sum() (sum is for columns, like in a repeating table --- you only enter one field for sum). Are you typing in "field1" or are you clicking "add a field" then selecting it?
