By default the label for each field will appear beside it.

If you just want to have a mouse over effect instead of the actual text in the form. Go into the properties and look at advanced and you could maybe use the screen tip type functions to display this data.

I believe there is a function to display a field's name but I am not sure the syntax.

Re: displaying group name in the form

You will need to manually type in the group names into the view.
I am creating a new template (and then the form) from an existing xml schema. (using InfoPath 2003) ( I create a template by just dragging all the groups from data source and selecting 'section with controls"

I would like to find out how I can display the name of the groups in the created form. While in the design mode, I could see the names of the group by pointing the mouse to a particula section, however, when the form is created this option disappears. I am looking at either displaying the name of the group in the text of the form or by pointing the mouse (as in the template).

I would appreciate any suggestions,

Thanks,
