I am in desperate need of doing this...

or at least loading a particular view based on userName()

I have been working on this for hours....to no avail....

used http://cglessner.blogspot.com/2008/07/infopath-switch-view-depending-on.html ....returned all groups of the user and could not create a rule that would see past the first group that the user belonged to...so if my condition was contains group22 it would not get passed group1 if that user was a member of group1, group2, etc.

It seems easy that based on the current user that you can push the majority to View1 and the smaller exception group to View2....using rules / conditions on the open behavior...

I even tried a button (switch view) that was hidden if userName() = "MyName" ....still no luck...

HELP!, please

I use an Active Directory web service to identify each user and if needed, if they belong to a certain AD group, and then route them accordingly or allow them to edit.

I have seen mixed success using user roles but that is another method you could try.

How to load form view based on the users sharepoint group

Hello all,

How would I go about changing the users form view based on their sharepoint group? For example if I had a read-only view named 'readonly' and I wanted to force that view for everyone who is filling out the form that belongs to the sharepoint group "telecom members" how would I go about accomplishing this?

thanks! :)
