I probably would not store the actual form since they will be out of sync witht he latest information. If all it does is update the list then have the submit do that and then close or requery the list and they can make another change.

Updating a list with info submitted in a form

Hi, I'm new to the forum also to InfoPath and SharePoint

I have created a form tha populates it fields from a list (let say list1) in SharePoint. The form, has some fields that needs to be entered by the user, then the user submits the form wich it is stored on a form library (let say list2) in SharePoint.

What I need to do is to to update list1, with the list2 info. So when any user uses the form again, the information is updated.

This is used to manage spare items, in this case, spare printers with it location. So if I select a spare printer, I need to know its location and also its status, because it can be no longer spare.

Just foryou to know I know nothing about SQL, and a little bit of Access.

What should I do.

Thank you all in advance

Merry Christmas
