Had the bug a few times myself. Create another field from scratch and delete the old field replacing it with the new one, format as you want. I am guessing that the box is set as binary which is why it is only a 1 or 0.

I think the box is greyed out where the field is connected to a database and the database datatype restricts the options like text.

I hope this helps

Calculations in a Text Box not displaying properly

This is really strange. I've got a text box on a form that I have the default value set to the following big ol' calculation:

(TR09RAW / TRELEMEARNED) * (((TR09ARAW / TRSUBEARNED09)* TR09AEARNED) * ((TR09BRAW / TR09SUBEARNED09) * TR09BEARNED))

This formula worked fine as an expression box but I needed to reference the value in another calc so I changed it to a Text box. As a text box, it will only display the result as a 1 or a 0... BUT the field that references this value calculates properly and the correct calculation is saving to the table behind the scenes.... It's calculating but not displaying the right number...

The text box is an Optional_double data type but the format button is grayed out so I can't see if it is set to number or not beyond that... speaking of, why is the format button sometimes grayed out anyway??

Any suggestions? Obviously I'm getting the number I need but I'd like to be able to display the proper intermediate numbers as well as the final calculation...
