Just a thought.

Help with submitting forms

Hi All,

I have built a form that queries a database and then submits to a sharepoint library and in the process changes a value of a field. [this all works great] [Step 1 - Reviewer Stage]

Next step another person is notified via a workflow [this works fine too] that a form is waiting for them to check in the library, the user opens the file makes their comments and press's submit, it changes the value of a field and it then should update itself in the Sharepoint library, the field is updated but the rest of the rule(s) won't function like 'close' this form - I get the following error:

InfoPath cannot submit the form.
An error occurred while the form was being submitted.
The form cannot be submitted to the following location: http://xxx/xxx/xxx/xxx/y.xml
The file is in use by another application or user.

Is there a way to update or save rather then re-submit (it should keep the same file name) - the strange this is, I get this error but all the comments and change field value rules are changed and updated in Sharepoint but I get this error and the form doens't close.

The data connection that is used has allow overwrite of file, it is a fully trusted form...any ideas?

Thanks,
