In InfoPath we have two field types: First is element and second one is attributes. For accessing attributes we are using ‘@’ symbol before field name.

In rule, there is no difference to set the value for element or attribute. Can you check once your condition is correct or not and whichever you are tying to set that filed is contains value or not?

Hope this helps you.

Re: @ in rules?

I think @ is for attributes.

your rule attempt to put the value of an attribute into another one.

if one of them (or both) does not exist, it will not work properly.

@ in rules?

Hi,

What does the @ sign mean when you try to design actions in rules?

For example one rule I have look like set a field's value: string = family, and it works, another action has set a field's value: @number = @value, and it does not work. So what is the @ sign?
