I usually create some fields that I use as flags to keep track of the form state. So I add an update to a flag field when I save the form and then do a conditional check in the open rules and if the form is updated switch the views accordingly.
There may be another field that is filled in or updated on a saved form that is blank on the load of the new form. This could also be your trigger for picking with view to open with.

Otherwise in Greg's Post Kalyan referenced you can do it in code too.

Good Question.
Clay

Re: opening a form in its saved view - issue

Hello
Welcome to the Infopath Forums

Please read the link below<br /http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2916

Hope it helps you

opening a form in its saved view - issue

Hi,
I posted this in the View Forum but need to get it resolved quickly.
I'm new to the forum.

I have a form with 6 views. How do I get the form to open in the view that the user saved it in. It only opens in the default view I published the form in. I'm using Sharepoint to publish my form.

I see that you can change the open/save behavior in form options but I don't know the code or the rules to make it happen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Lou
