You will need to filter using the current() function. Take a look at the how-to articles on repeating cascading lists. These will give some idea how to use the current() function:

Create a Repeating Cascading List from a Flat Data Source<br /http://www.infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=075c4e8e56db4fa5bd63615b712c0d91

Create a Repeating Cascading List from a Hierarchical Data Source<br /http://www.infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=9f6fda3a14c14ac4924cf0a382928432

Working with Master-Detail

I have a master detail set up in a form.

In the master I have 3 text fields A, B & C.

In the Detail I have 3 DDL's A, B & C
and 3 text boxes A description, B description & C description.

When I select DDL A, the value populates text box A on the master and the A description text box in the detail by pulling data from a MS Access database.

DDL A also populates DDL B.

DDL B does exactly the same, populating the B fields & the C DDL.

OK, this is where I am getting confused.

There are 6 values in DDL A (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).
If I select value 1, I can then select DDL B & DDL C and all the information displays on my screen correctly.

When I select Insert Item, all the fields in the Detail are cleared.

If I try to then select value 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 from DDL A.
This will populate textbox A in the Master correctly, will filter DDL B & DDL C correctly, but will only show the value of 1 in Description A.

Any ideas why this would happen?

If I select value 6 and work my way backwards for DDL A after inserting item, the population of the A, B & C Description text boxes in the Detail works correctly.

But if I select an earlier value then try to select a later value after insert item - it seems to default to the earlier value on the Description Text box.

Sorry if I am confusing you's with my description - kind of confusing myself when i read it back - haha..
