Right-clicking the drop-down list and selecting drop-down list properties.
2.) I then can navigate through a connection wizard when I select 'Look-up values from an external data source'.

Once I have done this the fields can be submitted and queried no problems!

I hope that this will help anyone in search of clues.

Re: InfoPath with WebServices - Retrieving SQL Values

Hi Lynton and welcome to the forums!

This sounds like a weird bug - my only suggestion would be to check the authentication settings, sometimes InfoPath has a hard time with this. Make sure that the site is added to your Local Intranet sites.

InfoPath with WebServices - Retrieving SQL Values

I have included a number of DDL's and have added their values using the InfoPath properties windows. Submitting of the completed form is successful and the complete record appears. The problem is that when I submit the query to retrieve the record using the 'empCode' which I created the stored values are not being displayed - only the default 'Select...' field is showing. I have checked the Sql connections and the Web Service for possible errors. Am I missing something?
