I can't get the default value to change. In other words, if the default value is a check box that is selected, I can't get it to un-select. I have tried using a rule to make this happen, but I have been unsuccessful. I know the logic on my rule is correct because if I manually un-select I can select the button again (due to my rule).

Re: Dynamic field update

You should be able to use a default value formula on the field that sets a particular value if all are approved.

Dynamic field update

I am creating an InfoPath form that will be used with SharePoint as a work flow form. The initial user will select several "Area Affected" Text boxes. When he submits the form it will email the areas that were identified as affected. The area users will then edit the form and either "Approve" or "Reject" (using an option button) the request for their area. I would like to have an option button or drop down list keep track of the progress of the form. So if all of the affected areas have approved I want a drop down list or option button to dynamically change to show all affected areas have signed off on the form. Or if someone rejects the request for their area the field will dynamically change to a "Rejected" state. Does this make sense? Sorry if this is too vague. I am a newbie to InfoPath and Forums... Let me know if you have questions.
