"choice is not equal to 1st choice"
and "choice is not equal to 2nd choice"

That did it for me.

Help - filtering a repeating drop down list

Help - filtering a repeating drop down list on previous & future selection (using secondary data source)

I saw Matt Faus' how to:
<br /http://www.infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=1fe635d7e2cd4c478b7a1eea929153ea

I want to make slight variation from Matt's tuturial.

Instead of using 'repeating table' (next line), I would like to have it across horizontal.

One Line will have all the choice
1st choice	2nd choice	3rd choice.)
(select) (select) (select)

I have a secondary data source which will have A, B, C & D (as data)
I was able on the 1st choice & use the secondary data source to select the data. (select 'C')

My problem is when I goto 2nd choice & want to use the secondary data source but filter the list down to (A,B & D). I used the
not(my:.... /preceding-sibling..)
not(my:.... /preceding-following.) expressions.

It did not work. Is this possible? Any suggestions?
