I'm not sure what you mean by that... non-the-less, what you want to accomplish is have the user fill out the form, then email it to you. You would need to open each email separately and submit the data to the database unless you have the form's submit button go directly to the DB. If the DB is on an intranet shared drive, you can make the connection to it by typing in the whole path, which eliminates the need for the users to map network drives to the DB. If you are not attempting this in a network environment, I'd need more details.

Re: Infopath to database or vice versa

I was planning on deploying/sending out the form w/o database attached. If a user submits it via e-mail(it will 100 of them), I will need to do them separately.(100 times manually) I am hoping to do it automatically (w/o database attached). After I received all of them (or in groups), I want to run a macro or something to submit it to the databse.
Re: Infopath to database or vice versa

That is exactly what InfoPath does.
Create the Database first in Access.
Create the InfoPath form by choosing "Design a Form" then "New from Data Connection".
The "Main Connection" can send/receive date from the DB and the "secondary connections" can recieve data from the DB (like a look up).
You can add buttons and program them to send the completed forms as and email (to you, then you need to submit to the DB) or have it submit directly to the DB (if they have access to it).
That should get you started. Would be happy to assist as you come across questions.

Kammy

Infopath to database or vice versa

I am new to infopath & would like to know whether this is possible. I would like to create a form which will be going to about 100 people. Eventually I would like to dump all the 100 form into one database (MS access). (I am trying to stay away from sharepoint if possible)

I am going to ask the users to send me the completed form to me & I was planning to link to each form into MS access db. It will be 100 manual process. I would like to see if I could do this automatically. (some mentioned autoxec macro?)

My questions:
1) Is it possible to push the data from infopath to ms access db?
2) Is it possible to pull the data from MS access to infopath
3) Any suggestion? any other methods.
