I like making forms as minimalistic as possible with no room for error.

Re: Limited decimals

That is the correct way to get the rounding. However, if you were able to set a SharePoint column to use 2 decimals, then you probably don't need to have the extra field with the rounded results any more. Is that the case?

You should be able to specify that you data connection not allow overwrites. At least I believe that you can.

Re: Limited decimals

Found the rounding solution in (round(FieldA * 0.175 * 100)) / 100 . Now to figure out how to force SharePoint to show me the decimals which contains zero's.

-- Edit
Never mind found that too. You need to add a new column in sharepoint make it calculated use =(columnname) set to 2 decimals and it looks beautiful. Now to fix my submit problem and my newly found problem of editing forms in SharePoint without making the data connection say overwrite and I am in heaven.

Re: Limited decimals

If keeping all decimal places on your field is important, perhaps you can create a sibling field or attribute that stores the rounded version of the value. The colomn I am showing in my SharePoint is the result of a purchase form including taxes. When calculating taxes it always goes beyond 2 decimals. I would just like that visual cap I put on InfoPath to be transferred into my SharePoint. It looks very confusing with 4 decimals.
I am sure more people use the power of InfoPath to make purchase forms and export them.

Re: Limited decimals

Setting InfoPath to show only two decimal places is only a VISUAL change. The data doesn't change.

If you need to be sure that the data only has two decimal places then you will need to do some rounding of the number when it is entered in to make sure that it is only two decimal places.

Limited decimals

I hope I am not stretching my newbie welcome here.
I have limited my columns to 2 decimals, but when I upload my form to SharePoint and select one of the numeral columns to be published it shows more then 2 decimals.

My SharePoint administrator says it is InfoPath. I figured since I limited it to 2 decimals it would only show 2 decimals in either SharePoint or InfoPath.
