The properties are a flat table, so if you are trying to promote repeating items under one column in that table, it doesn't work. You can concatenate values into a string, but this isn't very useful.

This is one of the reasons why we advocate using SQL integrated into SharePoint. We developed the Database Accelerator to help "accelerate" this process. With SQL behind SharePoint, you can create reports where the child collections show up as a promoted group. The SQL reports will require some work to configure, but give you more power to display your data in a non-flat way. I've created a form and inserted an optional group with 4 fields (2 drop-down pick lists and 2 free text boxes). If one manager has (let's say) 5 objectives to build I'd like them to submit it once on a single form and collect all 20 field's data at once in SharePoint.

Form looks good (with no binding errors)and it loaded to Sharepoint library just fine, but only the first instance of group is collected in SharePoint. Each successive optional group is saved in form view, but does not get collected in SharePoint.

What have I done wrong?
