It can even be used to generate headers and footers with some limitations. However, the general advice regarding reporting is not to rely on InfoPath for complex reports. Note that header/footer support is richer in InfoPath 2007.

Re: feasibltiy of InfoPath for Reporting

Everything but number 2 shouldn't be too hard. However, number two is REALLY hard. InfoPath is not meant as a reporting tool and I would advise against using it as that if possible.

There are ways to get number 2 working, as outlined in the following HowTo, but it is not fun at all.
<br /http://www.infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=80c11a66b08a4572bc2b17f391319a0f

feasibltiy of InfoPath for Reporting

I need to generate a report using InfoPath having the following features. Kindly advise regarding the feasiblity

1. The report should allow a grid with variable number of rows
2. The report generated should allow report headers , page headers , grid table headers , and page footers to be printed on each and every page that has been generated
3. The report should allow the display and printing of the page numbers and the data grid header should be repeated for the grid starting from every page
4. Please provide pointers to solution to generate the repeatable table using a specific data source

Regards

Kamal
