This is the number one question we have and why we created the Database Accelerator (DBXL). We are almost done with version 2. Send e-mail to Sales@Qdabra.com for a free evaluation version. You can integrate your form into the DB without any changes or code and it can be done quickly.
2. This is easy using rules. Double click on the field and on the properties dialog you will see a Rules button. Click on that and add an action ot run the query. No code required.

data conn with a db after the form is created

HI

1.I have already made a form, and i would like to connect it with a database. I don't want to start from 0 because i may change the database, or use another database instead. i know that i can make a form useing the pattern of a database, but i have a form, and now i am makeing a database for it

2.i want to implement an autocomplete.i write something in a field, and some other fields are completed with the data from the data base.
the database has only one table. i don't want to use a button. i want to write the code the button "run query" is using, but i don't find that code anywere. i don't know what classes or functions are used, how the connection is accessed with code
thank you
