Note that the generic one should be much easier to implement, maintain, and expand.
<br /http://www.qdabra.com/proddetail.asp?prod=QDBXL1

Re: Help:How to submit data to four normalized tables

Hi Fly,

check out these two links I guess they can help you (Lab9 ADO DataSet):
<a href='http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/odc_ip2003_tr/html/odc_INF_Lab_04.asp' target='_blank' title='http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/odc_ip2003_tr/html/odc_INF_Lab_04.asp'http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/odc_ip2003_tr/html/odc_INF_Lab_04.asp

<a href='http://blogs.msdn.com/philoj/archive/2005/11/08/490200.aspx' target='_blank' title='http://blogs.msdn.com/philoj/archive/2005/11/08/490200.aspx'http://blogs.msdn.com/philoj/archive/2005/11/08/490200.aspx

Help:How to submit data to four normalized tables

My infopath form is connected to a SQL Server Database in which I created four tables:
1. tbl_main
pk: main_id
fk: address_id (from table2)
fk: employee_id (from table3)
fk: service_id	(from table4)
request_date

2. tbl_address:
pk: address_id (identity(1,1)
street
state
country
3. tbl_employee
pk: employee_id (identity(1,1)
lastname
firstname
4. tbl_service
pk: service_id	(identity(1,1)
service_type
The form contains some text fields and dropdown boxed which are based on those 4 tables.
My question is:
Should I use "new from data connection" option when I create the form? If so, which table should I set as a main data source?
How I can I insert new address_id, employee_id and service_id into tbl_main table once users enter some new record into those
three tables?
