You might need to use a master-detail control to show all the data from the secondary connection that is readonly info.

The other option (sorry, requires coding) is to have a Web service setup which will allow you fine-grained control over what to submit and when.

Submit only certain fields

Is it possible to submit only certain fields to a database instead of the whole form? Also is there anyway to build a submit function to a database after a form has been started?

I've created a form that mainly functions as a visual spreadsheet. I have never had to pull data from it until now. I only need to submit the data from 4 fields in a repeating table into a corresponding access database table. I've had no problem doing this from scratch or while submiting a whole form.

<newbie disclaimer>

Even though this is my 24th post I'm still a newbie with no coding skills yet :>
