I resolved my own problem. I apparently defined a relationship between my 3 secondary master tables and my main data table in the Data Sources section of InfoPath. I removed those relationships, deleted my drop down boxes, and re-defined the same dropdown boxes. I can now add and update my MS Access database as I intended. And, my drop down boxes contain selections from my 3 master tables.

Drop Down List source an DB update

I have a form that I want to use to update and add records to a MS Access database. Three of the fields on the form should be drop down selection boxes.

My database consists of 4 tables. One is the main table where I store all the detail. The other 3 tables consist of master lists that I was hoping to use as the selection criteria for the each of the 3 drop down lists. That way if the selection criteria ever changed, it could be changed in the 3 database tables as oppossed to a hard coded selection entries.

Is there a way to display info from (when a record is retrieved) and add/update info to the main table, but retrieve the drop down selection criteria for a seperate 'master' table? Or is there a better way to go about what I am trying to accomplish?

Thanks,

Ray
